Our small, academically challenging public high school has granted us with many academic opportunities, however,  our status as a public school means that we have a significantly smaller budget than many schools, little of which is allocated to clubs. The Ivy League Model United Nations Conference and Cornell MUNC were the only big conferences we could afford last year as a club. However, our school did exceptionally well especially in comparison to the large schools we competed against, despite their greater access to resources. There are many upcoming conferences in the following school year, which would be incredible opportunities and extremely beneficial to the growth of our team. We are a group of diligent students who want the chance to make our mark in the world of Model UN. We very much want to attend these prestigious conferences, yet they are often are prohibitively expensive. The transportation fees, hotel fees, school fees, delegation fees, and food expenses add up. Even with fundraising, these trips are very costly, which makes the opportunity to attend national conferences unavailable to many students who wish to participate. In order to attend more conferences and make sure that all students have the financial ability to do so, we ask that you donate anything you can to this educational opportunity. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated in aiding our club and allow us to achieve our goals! Last year we were able to complete our goal of raising $6,000 on our go fund me and hope to go beyond that impressive achievement this year.
